This project is associated to one of the lessons we are teaching in class Travelling abroad (Unit 12). 1ESO students of English. ITC school. Middle class students, few retakers. This project intends to expand not only the linguistc abilities of 1 ESO students of English but also make them familiar with the things they need to consider when planning a trip. The intention is that they cooperate with their parents when planning a trip and also become aware of all the paperwork and small details they have to consider when travelling abroad.
Objetives:
Make the students competent to organize and explain the trip they have designed in the English language
Learn new vocabulary and grammar structures
Find information from themselves by talking to people, using the internet, the teacher´s wiki, etc.
Turn the proccess of learning into a process to generate knowledge
Learn to work and share in a group
Organize and plan a school trip
Generate group and cooperative creations
Participate in group work in a constructive way, being respectful in every way (to other people´s ideas, turn-taking, etc.)
Insert the final product in the wiki so other people can see, benefit from and enjoy it

Making the most of a trip.
Care about our school plans, take part in activities and behave according to school rules in other places.
Participation in all discussions that take place in class (the appropriate things to do when travelling: being punctual, behave approprietly in museums, etc..)
Development of respect and tolerance while working in groups
Development of a certain artistic expresion to organize an interesting and fun trip
Learning to value computers in class, the need to care for them to work on a daily basis, they are not only to entertain ourselves
Develop a sense of personal achivement in creating something interesting for other students
Methodology:
First we will work on the level of linguistic and cognitive competence the students have, then, we will find out their previous knowledge
We will work on learning hands on, learning something that is paractical and fuctional
Learning to Learn since students have to solve vocabulary, grammar problems among the resources provided to the group, the necessity to come to an agreement on how to select info, decide what to offer in the project, respect other people´s opinions, etc.
Students will work cooperatively, will also learn from mistakes and will learn from the teacher who is guiding them
Students are taught to reflect on the whole process and learn skills and strategies that can be used in other situations
Groups: individual work, pair work, group and whole group work.
Evaluation Criteria Vocabulary and grammar (80 points)

Creativity, places other students have not named, presentation with music, etc.
Each person will talk about two activities minimum

The unit takes place in 7 sessions of 55 minutes, the project should be finished by the last session.
